The outline property in CSS is used to create a line around an element outside its border, making it more noticeable without affecting its size or layout. There are three main purposes and functionalities of the outline property, which are: 1. Non-Intrusive Highlighting with Outline: Outlines do not take up space in the box model, unlike borders, so they won’t alter the element's dimensions or affect the surrounding layout. 2. Improving Accessibility Using Outlines: Outlines are often used to show focus on elements, helping with keyboard navigation and improving the accessibility of websites for users with disabilities.
